Good times for DZWF!
Roland Perk finished 1st today in a Division 2 race, not bad at his young age. We doubted for some time if he could handle the captaincy but it seems to work out great now so there is no doubt he will captain many more races to come. Perk entered the top 10 of Dutch riders and I doubt he will leave anytime soon.
He got great climbing teammates and if needed can also count on some great downhill teammates which is our other squad, with Levi Mertens as captain. There ain't that many downhill races but the team decided to specialize on this next to climbing.
We will keep on attracting new teammates and try to keep our squad young and fresh, preferably with self trained riders like Perk, de Jong and Willemsen. We might attract 1/2 TT Riders in the near future which would lead our 3rd squad.
The team is now in the Top100 for the first time, should stay in Division 2/3 without to much issues and we can only hope to reach Division 1 one day.
Regards,
Richard
